Hi,

We have voicemail to Email configured and the system can deliver voicemail messages to users with no problem. However:-

Situation A:
If user "A" received a voice message from an external call, user "A" will get an email sent from the email address configured under 47-18-08 "Send From Email Address". (This is what I want.)

Situation B:
If user "A" received a voice message from user "B", user "A" will get an email sent from the "Email Address" configured under 47-02-21 "Email Address" for user "B". (Which is NOT what I want.)

For situation B, can the email be also sent from what we have configured under 47-18-08? That is, all voice messages (no matter they are from internal or external) are ALL from the same sender address configured under 47-18-08?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Benny

Dear CoralTech,

Thanks for the information. I may not be as technical as you are but something just doesn't look logical to me. You can see from my screen capture below both addresses (voicemail@<ourdomain> configured under 47-18-08 and our users' individual addresses configured under 47-02-21) are working on our NEC SV9100 system for a few years. Therefore, authentication of these addresses has no problem. I think there is a parameter on the system controlling which address to be used for messages from internal calls. Do you think my guessing is right?

Remark: I also have the voicemail@<ourdomain> configured under 47-18-06, 08 and 09.

Best Regards,

Benny

Benny,

Here is a simple test for you to run. Remove the name on the extension place a test call. Then add a name not in your organization aka Joe Blow and repeat the call again. Then change it back to original name and test again. Compare.

PS and by name I mean the extension name not the email addresses.

Dear DoubleDizzle,

No, I didn't. Should I? BYW, I am using R10 V9. I do have the option 99-01-95 and change it from 0 to 1 around 2 weeks ago. But I didn't reboot the system.

Best Regards,

Benny

Hello Benny,

I wrestled with this issue recently.

It was recommended to me to update the phone system to v12.00.50. (Although this may not be necessary in your case)

Then, as "DisplayName" stated:

Enter system programming mode:
Speaker, #*#*
enter IN password, transfer.
type in 99-01-95
type 1
push transfer, until you see 99-02 (02 will be flashing), and then push speaker, to exit/save.

(This will force the system to send from the data defined in 47-18.

The phone system MUST be rebooted for this change to take effect.
