OK, I've been handed the job of managing our phone system. I have the installer level password. We have a SV9100.

Here's what I'm being asked to set up. Currently, incoming calls ring a group of phones, if the operator does not answer, or she is on a call already. They would like it changed to ring certain phones in a certain order. For example, ring the operator, then ext. 100, then ext. 101, 102, 103, etc. Is this just making ring groups in 22-04 of a single extension? Ring group 1 would be the operator, rg2 = 100, rg3 = 101? If it is, where is the time interval setting for how long each extension should ring?

@AKgreatland, incorrect. Whatever VE you start with will be teh destination number in the InMail for ex.

VE 100 CFB/NA to 101 CFB/NA to 102 CFB/NA to VM Pilot 3999. The mailbox would be in 100. Hope that makes sense.

@AK Greatland I beg to differ as I have this working on a site where they wanted it to ring reception, then two additional extensions then two more then all then go to VM and it works! The whole point of being able to send the call to 102 and then route to the desired mailbox using 47-11 is precisely for this type of scenario! The secret of not allowing forwarding to take over is setting the timers correctly!

And if you have spare time on your hands surely it is more fun to pursue a project rather than fritter it away and the pursuit of knowledge has never been a waste of time!

@CooralTech Totally agree!
