Hello,

I am system adminitrator attemtping to set up & enable call forwarding to an external mobile phone for the first time from a DT400 handset. Call forwarding works internally to other extentions, but when a user attempts to set it up to an external number and we test it on another handset it says "security sensor reset" on the display. I must be missing a setting in WebPro, I've already checked the following:

14-01-13 (Trunk to Trunk Transfer) - enabled
20-11-12 (Call Forward Off-premise) - enabled
20-07-05 (Automatic Trunk to Trunk Transfer) -enabled

Any ideas?

- Bill

Sounds like you are missing the trunk access code in your call forwarding and phone is forwarded to "716" default access code for "Security Sensor Reset"

Interesting, your right that I am somehow sending the 716 service code, if i change the offsite phone number it changes the result. But trunk access is set to "9" in 11-09-01, and I did attempt to dial 9 first in the call forward. Any other ideas what I am missing?

Have you checked to see if you can dial that number from that phone? It could be restricted.

Check what it says in 24-09.
24-09-01 should be Call Forward All Calls
24-09-02 through 05 should all be 9716XXXXXXX (may need to use 9P716 to insert a pause if using analog trunks.

Using the feature codes 741, 742, 743, etc will change what displays in 24-09. Good way to make sure your forwarding is being set properly.

horay! I found my problem.

The issue was the phone I was testing from did not have access to the same trunk line that the other phone was forwarding on had. I changed the priority order in 14-05 (trunk groups) to firstly choose a line that all phones have acces to and all is good, Thanks for your help guys.
