Customer is complaining that their voicemail is not turning on message waiting lamps and old messages are not being deleted.

I am not sure how they are deleting messages and perhaps are archiving instead. That may be a user issue.

I have the system resetting message waiting lamps every morning at 2am and have the message lamp reset after each new message enabled as well. The voicemail is at version 11.10.1.17. Not sure if it is too new of a version for the 8100 but we had to upgrade it to get past the browser compatibility issues when Internet Explorer disappeared.

It is not too new. Did you upgrade the memory from 256 to 512 or 1GB? If not that is likely your issue.

Important note #2: UM8000 systems running version 11.10 on a VM00 card with 256MB RAM, can experience unstable environments due to lack of resources. It is highly recommended that the system’s RAM be upgraded to at least 512MB or even 1GB before running version 11.10.
As memory modules are very common parts, NEC does not offer these RAM upgrades. Customers may purchase directly from sources such as Amazon, eBay, Newegg, etc.
Search for DDR PC3200 200 Pin SODIMM.
The 512MB or 1GB memory modules NEC has tested are:
• Corsair VS1GSDS400 SODIMM 1GB DDR 400MHz PC3200 Notebook Memory
module.
• Corsair VS512SDS400 SODIMM 512MB DDR 400MHz PC3200 Notebook Memory
module.
The UM8000s VM00 card supports one SODIMM module.

You may only be able to find this memory used. If you can find it just go to 1GB.

Also note you absolutely have to use PC3200 ram or the card will not boot. I had one that was one step down in speed and it would not boot.

It surprisingly already had 512K in it before it was upgraded. Everything else seems to work ok. Just the issue with lights and messages not deleting properly.
