Hello,

I'm sure this is something really simple, but I can't find it.

Whenever I type a quotation mark (single and double) it doesn't show until I hit the next key. How do I disable this?

Can you clarify that this is a "whenever" event, and is it only Quotes that are a problem? Do you see the same behavior in Notepad for example? As " and ' are on the same key maybe there is a dirty connection on that actual key? Can you try another Keyboard? You could try the On-Screen Keyboard via "Windows Key+U"

Hi,

no, I'm pretty sure it's a setting. e.g. I press " and nothing is displayed, then pressing U results in ü.

This happens in every application. Even in the VBE.

Do you know how to turn this off?

Perfect! US International was set up as the default. I just added regular US and now I can even easily switch between the two.

Thanks a lot, I'm sure that option is useful for Roman languages, but with VBA it's a royal pain in the ***.
