Hi

I have a customer with an old MICS (programming starts A.Configuration) and mostly M7208 handsets
they had 4 lines; the first tech programmed the template as square (like key system) so that all lines appear.
Now they have got 1 more line and the customer what’s it to appear but as soon as I make it appear the transfer button disappears.

He hats the lines to appear so that when he puts the calls on hold they can be picked up.

Does any body have any suggestions?

Also the system does not have hunt group and I was trying to set up ring delay on 3 ext; is there any way around it.

One last thing which manual would I need for this system, I’ve got the newer ones but they are very different.

Thanks for you time

You can either suggest getting some different phones, like 7310 or 7316, or show them how to use park.

Don’t know what you mean by ring delay.

Regarding manuals: Programming is essentially the same- just in a different layout, but you can purchase them by doing a google search if you want.

by ring delay i mean ring 3 times at reception, the if not answered start to ring at 4 other extsions.

also about the manuals what i need to know is which one i need to buy: mics 6.0, 5.0, 4.0.

Neither, your software version is below those. They are not that different from each other, except the layout and features that were added as the version was updated is different from the older softwares. Look on your system for your software version, that would be a start.

He's got no choice, if he wants to add the line on all phones he will lose a button. But you've got enough to have your 5 lines, 2 intercoms and a handsfree button. So what is the problem ??? Does he need OTHER feature buttons other than the xfer ??

As far as the "ring delay", ... well do you have voicemail first of all ? If not, you need to play with Answer DN settings to make sure this as u want ..

Hi thanks for the response
About the 5 lines, i had already done that but it is one of those problem customer that are never happy. Also the 5 lines might be good for know but if more lines come in, im going to be in touble again.

No the customer just has a basic system Main equipment with 2 line cards and has 20x 7208 and 4x 7310.

Also the system does not have hunt group and I was trying to set up ring delay on 3 ext; is there any way around it.

Sell your customer a M7100 and place it in the phone room or up above the celing tiles. Call forward no answer the recp'ts phone to the M7100. Put answer DNs for the M7100 on the overflow phones, or put the M7100 and the overflow phones in a call pickup group (if the overflow people can hear the M7100 ringing). If you use the second solution make the M7100 have an easy to remember DN like 300. Then anybody else can pickup the call by pressing Feature 76-300.
