Subform w ODBC Recordset

I'm trying to add a form with a dao connection to an ODBC data source as a subform. The form works fine by itself but when I add it as a subform and open the main form in form view Access crashes.

What exactly "crashes"? Are there any error messages? If not, it sounds like the ODBC connection is failing.

Access crashes. The whole program disappears. No error messages just gone. With an ADO connection it is working fine so I am going with that. Thanks. These are my first record sets using code in Access.
