Hi,

I have a Subform based on a Query which does not allow Data Entry. I changed the Subforms Data Entry property to Yes and it still does not allow Data Entry; and after the change there are 3 fields don't present any info.

My orignial problem was that I need a Running Sum which with I solved by basing the subform on a query and subqueries.

Any ideas how to solve this one or any other ways to do a running sum with out using a query?

Using Access 2002, Windows XP-SP1

Hi

The problem is that queries with subqueries are not updatable.

Remedy by using DSum rather than subquery.

If you search for "updatable" as a keyword, you'll find where I asked a similar question about 16 may and got really good replies.

Good luck.

Thanks for the tip. Actually the Running sum I solved it using a thread in which you asked the same question, this was back in Nov. 2002 which was posted by darkstarjk
