Hi all, I have a 25 pin serial dongle that does not have the usual S/N number format on it. However it does say "Voice Manager" Licence No SDX 1483. E30057-CA. 9640L45118. It does say 4 port voicemail? Does anyone know if this is compatible with the IP Office and if so what are the licences keys? Many thanks in advance.

A 25 pin dongle is a parallel port ( printer ) dongle.
You can retrieve the serial number but you need some old stuff hanging around:
A PC with a parallel printer port, windows XP or older and Ayaya admin software R3.2 or older.
Attach the dongle to thje parallel port, install the admin suite including the license server software and rebbot the PC.
When started you see a red icon down right next to the clock, right click it and you'll see the serial number of the dongle.

Although Intrigant's information is correct for IP Office parallel port donmgle (which is red) is believe you have something completely different.

If I am correct then your dongle is white.
it still connects to a PC parallel ports but is is for the Global Voice Manager that worked with he SDX
SDX & INDeX phone systems

The label on the dongle will identify its capabilities - No of ports Storage capacity etc...

unfortunately it is of absolutely no use with an IP Office.

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Many thanks "Intrigrant, that info will be useful in the future.
Many thanks "IPGuru" you would be right it is a Global Voice Manager dongle (not sure if it belongs in the bin then)

It does belong in the bin as that software only runs under DOS and is not millenium proof ( yes, the software is that old ).
I do have some floppies lying somewere in my dungeon....
