Hi,

Sorry if this has been answered before but i want to stop my IP406 3.2(54) sending caller ID info and all of my attempts have failed.
I have 16 lines and use least cost routing on them all.
What is the best way to achieve this?

Thanks

The statement is correct.
You are not modifying digits unless you diall ** first.

Well if you have to prefix all outgoing calls with 1052 to use the cheaper provider, You will have to dial ** first or change the "?, .W, dial" shortcode to "?, 1052.W, dial" otherwise you will be getting charged standard rate!!

Thanks for the info guys,
I will chase this up and make the necessary changes

Now I understand why my Avaya tekkie is no longer an Avaya Tekkie.

Adios, for now and thanks again to all

Just a quick note the **n,1052,dial short code your tekkie put in has never worked, it has been matching ?,.,dial shortcode all along which gave the impression it worked. The shortcode must have the N in to dial the numbers you enter......it's just upon reading back over this post I thought you may omit the N when reconfiguring as you thought it was working!! That make any sense? LOL

Hi Guys,

This is the way it is programmed now

Shortcode to withhold number
Code ?
Feat Dial
Tel .W

Least Cost Route

Code **N
Feat Dial
Tel 1052

If i dial ** in front of the number as mentioned, i cannot dial out. Just says call disconnected

Needs the N after the 1052 on the Tel part. Try that it will work.

But as noted it will only work and give your LCR when pressing **

I am sure I saw this coming and advised you on it! Please see above! LOL

I changed my LCR to read 1052N

But if i dial ** it still says disconnected

I am waiting on a reply from my LCR carrier to see if they are billing us, but being in Spain, this could take a while!!

where have you changed the shortcode? In the shortcode field only or in the ARS section too? and what line group id is the **shortcode targeting is it 0 or 51 "something" ?

Only in the shortcode field, I don't know what ARS is nor do I see it in Office Manager.

The **N shortcode targets Line group 0 and the LCR targets line group 0 also

3.2 54 will not use ARS so you will be working from LCR.

What happens if you dial 1052 and the number manually? Does it route?

Code **N
Feat Dial
Tel 1052N

So when you have my exact shortcode in your LCR and you dial ** and your number it is not working?

Do you use ** at the moment.
Are all your calls meant to route to your LCR provider?

If so I would think about modifying your LCR so you can clear the **

Also please check you do not have a ** shortcode in your shortcodes area too.

Right now it is programmed exactly as you have written above
(Although originally programmed witout the N)

If I dial ** it does not work. We do not or never have dialled ** before the number

I do not have a ** shortcode in the system

All our calls do route through the LCR provider (or thats the plan anyway) I wish they would respond quicker

Try changing the **N to 9N leaving the 1052N in and merge config then dial 9 and the number you want does that work? Assuming you have no shortcodes beginning with 9 of course!

** must be doing some thing.

Well you can either leave it like that and tell the site they need to dial 9 or adjust your ?, . , dial shortcode to ? , 1052.W , dial and your done!!
