Status ESS not working/available

We have a lab and production environment. Our lab is configured the same as prod (as it should be) but in our production environment we can't status ess cluster.

Looking at the survivable configuration everything looks the same in the lab and production. Even Avaya can't perform a status ess with init login, so it shouldn't be a permissions issue.

Both environments were recently upgraded to 10.2

Display system-parameters customer-options has ESS Administration enabled.

List survivable shows the ESS and that it is receiving translations.

Any thoughts as to what else to look at?

status ess cluster in our lab works though, it shows the status of the primary server pair and the ESS. And why is the command available in the lab and not production

Cluster ID 1 ESS CLUSTER INFORMATION

Active
Cluster Server Translations Software
ID Enabled? ID Registered? Updated Version

1 y 1 y 22:00 4/23/2025 R020x.02.0.229.0
8 y 3 y 22:00 4/23/2025 R020x.02.0.229.0

And the command is completely missing from production.

Interesting -- I just ran that in my 10.2 lab with no issue.

Are the swversions between the two identical? How about the rest of your "display sys cust" options?

swversion and patches applied are the same on both

You want to see the entire sys cust?
