I run win98 and 2000 on same computer, I installed thrustmapper for my steering wheel, then it froze, so I rebooted, then every thing started to reinstall, when I restarted again the screen was weird and then it froze.

everytime I restart it freezes before I can do anything, it freezes when the icon tray starts to load. I don't know how to start it in safe mode because when I pree F8 when the computer is starting up it just goes to win2000 setup. And I can't select it from system confige because it freezes before I can do anything. Also holding ctrl when booting doesn't seem to work. Also I don't think there is anything wrong with my comp because everything is working in 2000.

HELP

Turn your pc on and press F5 several times after post and just before windows loads. This will boot you into safe mode. When you get to your desktop, click start, run and type msconfig. Look for anything in the startup that references your thrustmapper and uncheck it.Click apply, ok and yes to reboot.
