Stability problems

I seem to be having my fair share of problems with the stabillity of the CDX files in VFP6.0.

I constaintly seem to be re-indexing the tables to solve different problems. The latest being a Fatal Error Execption Code C00000FD.

I am not really doing anything that clever with these tables but get regular problems that cause disruption to my users. I presume that this is not just me, how many problems of this kind to other people here get? I would be interested to find out exactly how stable this database format is, and what degree of improvement can be acheived by tinkering with the system setup.
