Speed Dials

We have some Avaya 5610SW phones, connected to an IP Office 412 (running latest version 4.19).
If I add a speed dial on the actual handset, is it not the case that all I have to do is to press SpDial, then press the button next to the name and it would dial the programmed number?

Whenever I do that, I only get the option to Add, Edit or Delete. Do I need to enable something on the IP Office Manager? If so, what?

If you have speed dials programmed then when you hit the SpDial button they will be displayed.

Regardless of that fact you can hit the add, edit, or deletel button to specify which speed dial you wish to add/edit/delete.

If you hit add or edit then the button to add or edit the form will appear for you to admin the name and number of that speed dial.

If you dont hit add, edit, or delete and simply hit spdial then the speed dial you wish to dial your phone will initiate a call to whichever number is administered for that speed dial button. It may activate the speakerphone if you have your handset and/or headset onhook.
