Hi all,

I have a soundstation IP7000 and I'm trying to register with the IP office500, I've followed all the instruccions that I found in the internet but not success. I've done the following, am I missing a step?

Created the SIP extension in the IP Office
Created the user in the IP Office.

In outbound and server 1 settings put the ip address of the IPO with port 5060 and UDPOnly

But when the polycom starts always say "Couldn't contact boot server" "uploading existing configuration" and loads one configuration with some kind of extension 1525, I can make external calls as if were a telephone line but it doesn't register as an extension of the IPO.

I have activated SIP Register enable, I'm desesperate, I don't know what else do, someone have an idea? or someone that has had the same problem and could give a subjestion?

Thanks for your valuable help!!!

It sounds like you are reusing the soundstation IP7000 from somewhere else and that it was alredy configured there with a configuration. You have not set up the new environment to send the required configuration files to the IP7000 so it is using the old configuration.

Have you gone into the phone setting to verify that Ethernet is enabled on the phone settings itself?

Smokingjoe2938, the polycom has DHCP enabled, it has an IP from my dhcp server and i'm able to get into the web configuration, I have posted a link showing my settings for TCP and UDP.

vtphoneyguy, that is the exactlly the same document that I was using to configure my system, that's why it seems strange to me that it doesn't work at all.

Westi, I'm not sure what version I have on the polycom but I'll take a look and follow your guide to upgrade if necesary.

It's working now, thatns everyone for your help, I've just upgrgaded the bootrom and software on the polycom and it worked.
