Can someone tell me how to install and configure softphone for my site?
Currently I am not able to find the softphone software any where.

Do you mean SIP softphone? There's one that I like very much and it's free, do a serch on xlight, go to benbria dot com

If you need compression you have to pay for the complete version, it's about 40-50 dollars.

What kind of set. There is a freeby for anyone with a higher end 5330 and 5340 set called UC Express.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

I thought there was a software that comes with prairieFyre.
You know when open the Mitel contact center client there is an option for softphone but know is gray out. I read on the help about a software for the softphone but I can't find it anywhere.

Hi David,

You need to make sure that you have the license to enable the ACD softphone on the client software.

You then need to make sure you have the licenses available on your Mitel controller to enable you to program the extensions on the system.

It is called phoneset manager or advanced user licence depends on software version.
It is installed with the CCC you have to select it during install or you can just run the wizard again to install it.

It is not free and it is not very good either.
