What is the software that replaced the old soft-phone?
After upgrading the IPO from 8.1 to 10.1 the old soft-phones stopped working.(returning a license error because they're not supported anymore)

I tried the "Avaya Communicator V2.1.4" and seemed to be really basic. For some reasons it doesn't show the internal contacts on the IPO. The voicemail is not intuitive and it lacks lots of features. Is the Avaya communicator meant only for IPO without One-x ? and does the contact ever sync with the IPO?

So i tried the "Avaya One-X Communicator V6.2" and i couldn't get it to work on more than one Windows 10 machines. Once i put in the right server address and press login, the application crash and i get a windows error" Avaya One-X has stopped working"

Can someone tell me what is the right software and for what version?

Did anyone successfully installed the new One-X Communicator on windows 10?

Thanks!

One-X Communicator is only for Aura, even though you can connect it to IP Office it will have as much features as any other 3rd party SIP phone.

Thanks janni78

So is the "Avaya Equinox™ for Windows Release 3.3.4 (SP4)" for IPO or the older "Avaya Communicator V2.1.4"?
Does anyone know why the "Avaya Communicator V2.1.4" doesn't sync the contact with the IPO?

thank you!

Same problem here, did you find a solution for the contacts in the Communicator?

Joledur09 here's what i found:

So i figured that i was simply downloading the wrong software.
Since the deployment was an IPO with Voicemail pro, all i needed to do is to download "IP Office 10.1 General Availability - Avaya Communicator, 10.1.x"
I was originally going to under download tab and look for communicator and soft phones.
What you need to do is go to the download tab and put in IPO as if you're downloading the "Manager", select the correct release your system is running and look there for the "Avaya Communicator" that will work with the version of your IPO.

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply.

My problem was not the release of the Communicator, and we found a solution few minutes ago. Here it is for the record.

Start OneX portal and populate the domain name in the section Configuration --> Host Domain Name. The FQDN is not yet in the DNS here, then we used the IP address of the IPO and it worked.

Thanks
