Softphone Audio Issue

Have only one softphone deployed, testing.

the softphone works perfectly except when calls are placed from a remote site (G700) to the softphone user. No audio either direction. When the softphone user calls any extension at the remote site, audio is fine.

Any ideas?

start by using the softphone on the LAN if you have audio then the problem isn't your software or PBX. Then take it off site and make the same tests. When it fails, look to your firewall for ports that are being blocked. Audio ports are UDP and are defined in your 'disp network-region X' screen.
 
I forgot to mention it is connecting through a VPN. It works except for the inbound calls from one site.

So most likely a routing issue?
 
Update - never got this fixed. The user tells us that when she is on a call, a 2nd call from the remote site works fine. Only when she is idle receiving calls from this remote site is there an issue.

Do the list trace station (ip softphone extension) while the two calls. Check for network region and possible codec mismatches. What network region is the vpn in?
