I am running into a problem with it locking up and needing to be rebooted, the SC that is. IPO R9.1.0 windows 8 PC no other issues. Avaya has been working on this for 2 months now.

If Avaya works on it for two months then do not expect miracles here....

issue fixed. it was just a firewall issue, i just run the batch file on the pc

DigitalG,

What was the issue on the firewall? What did you open or close to solve it? What batch file did you run and how did nthat solve the problem?

Thanks/Quaz

Im having this same issue. I have run the AvayaFW.bat file. Even checked that port 50796 is in the .BAT file and while it was running looked to see that it was opened and said OK.

Any other bright ideas out there?

did you run the application as administrator ?

When you say application? You mean the BAT file or the SC itself?

In regards to the BAT file, yes it has been run as admin.

The weird part of the whole thing is that it will run fine for most of the day and then it will just randomly lock up and has to be restarted.

This is a known issue with Avaya, contact TS and they have a private build to resolve the lockup and need to restart. I just had this on one of my installs.

Any chance you have the file and can share it rather than have to go through that whole ordeal?

Do I load this on top of the current SC version or do I need to uninstall the current then load this?

sorry it is just 2 files rename the originals to .old then copy and paste these in. The folder location is C:\Program Files\Avaya\IP Office\SoftConsole for windows 7, you might need to hunt for it if not a 7 PC.
Mike

Ok,

Do I need to remove the original files so that it doesn't try to open using the old?

no just rename them so if needed you can go back. I just added .old to the end to identify them.
Mike

OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.................[thumbsup2]

Now I got ya. I was confused about the .old. Thought you meant name the new files .old. Im thinking in my head, but... how would SC know to use them....?

Bueno. Thank you Sir! I will give that a shot and hopefully get this customer off my back.... for now....

Took me 2 months to get this fixed and get the customer off my back, hope this works better for you.
