SoE DT Running DS software? 1

Hi all,

may be a stupid question but is it possible to run V4.XX software on a DT SoE if you are only using IP Handsets (e.g. 5610's)with no DT handsets attached to the DT ports)

For the moment at least yes
The DT ports do not work but IP handsets do.

It is always posible that the DT board my case problem with later releases.

Are you sure you have a SoE? or a IP401?

I don't recall a SoE with DT ports, (may be wrong)


If you have a IP401, you won't get to 4.0 (infact I think 2.1 is the top level)

One way to tell is to run the upgrade wizard or open the config and look at units, if the type is ip401 bad news, good news would be IP401NG
