SNMP Traps version 1

Hi,
Have anyone know how to change version of the snmp traps. Currently my Avaya Media server S8720 is sending out snmp traps version v2c but I need to change it version 1.

I don't have a CM in front of me, but I think I can get close enough for you to make your change:
+ use the Web interface to the S8720
+ login
+ use the Maintenance link
+ there are two snmp buttons (snmp agent and snmp traps), choose "snmp-traps"
+ change "master agent status" to "down"
+ click "version 1" (unclick "version 2c")
+ change/add ip address of trap receiver if necessary
+ change "master agent status" to "up"

Hi Steve,

I did it alredy but once I am logged in shell of the server and I type command:

"almsnmpconf"

then I see it is still snmp version v2c.

Any idea why there are differences between Web interface and shell?

Are you sure you brought the "master agent" down & back up?
At shell level type ps -ef|grep snmptrap
Is the start time the time you made the Web changes?

Hi Steve,

Unfortunatelly i can not check due to my access level to unix system so I have to ask avaya engineer to change version of snmp traps but many thansk anyway for support.
