the switch send alarms out on a serial port, nortel does not support a serial server connection but i know a lot of people that use them. as far as part two on nms software, if it can accept and translate txt files, yes.. if youv got a filter that can mon txt for sch dri dth..type codes you can get remote alarms, we use a analog devive that calls a remote term with errors.
