small communtiy network Apperence of an user on phone at other office 3

hello
i have two offices with ip office phone systems (Office A) and (Office B) set up use scn all working fine - can dail each other extentions and tranfer
i need to have a button indicator on the 4412D+ at (Office B ) show when extestion 303 is in use at (Office A)

I am sure this is an esay one but i am new to the system
please help

Try to program button with "user" option.
Go to user - buttons and then pick "user" for that button.
Not sure if this will work over SCN, but that's what I would try

Are you sure you have SCN enabled or are you using simple h323 trunking?

i followed the avaya tek tip scn
i set ip trunk and ip routing

but how would i verify that i am scn enabled

i can call and tranfer extention can have follow me to the extentions every thing work other then be able to set the uses extetion to show up on the other office phone

the two unit are talking just fine
so what is missing

It should be a user button and then you have to put the user name from the other switch exactly like it is spelled. YOu may need " " around the name.

Yes, use the drop down box just to see how it enters a local user, then enter the remote user in the same format

it will save you a whole lot of grief if you remember the following

IP Office uses User Name not Extn numbering for internal processing*

this is why names as well as numbers MUST be unique.

it turned out to be just that was useing the number not name
