Hi Guys,

Just looking for some advice on how to setup our SIP trunk.

I have a SIP trunk from Gamma with 4 channels and 2 numbers. Users pick which number they wish to dial out from via shortcodes (9N and 8N). Now the issue is our second number (on shortcode 8N) needs to be withheld for outbound calls all the time, despite the user that's using that number.

The first number (9N) needs to display CLI all the time.

What would be the best way to go about this? I don't mind reconfiguring our entire IP Office since it's not currently in use, so current config is pretty much a moot point.

Cheers

You still need to send CLI so it would be

8N/Dial/NWs123456789

Thanks janni78, the W is what we needed (I didn't see the reference for those codes until after your post :))

Now, does anyone have any idea as to why the CLI might be showing as a different number on my mobile?

In the monitor I see:
[pre]FOUND LINE - Line Id: 18 - using line group id: 18 - Called Number: 01234567890 - Calling Number: 01234111111[/pre]

Both the called and calling numbers on this line are correct, but my mobile is showing the wrong number on an incoming call from our IPO. Could this be an issue on Gamma's end?

Which number is it showing?
It should show the number in Diversion Header or PAI depending on the provider.

Sorry I should have been clearer. We had the SIP trunk provisioned before our two BT lines were ported, Gamma assigned a new (third) number to that line which they haven't removed yet.

The short code with the withhold on it is showing as No Caller ID, perfect.

The shortcode for our second BT number is showing up on my mobile as the original SIP number Gamma assigned to us, despite the Calling Number being set correctly as per my previous post.

Think someone who used Gamma needs to answer this, Gamma seems.... special =)

I don't think sip trunks respond to the S character in short codes (at least not all of them, it seems no two sip providers are configured the same, I love 'Standards')
you need to set the various options in the user's SIP tab

The number provided by default on a Gamma SIP trunk is what they class as the Circuit number. We have found that when you call from our office (we have Gamma SIP trunks) the number displayed to a caller is correct in that it is the one we programmed into the IPO to send out. However if I get a call from my office that goes to voicemail (I use HulloMail) my mobile shows the number we send out, but the voicemail message is shown as from the "circuit" number.

Never been able to get to the bottom of it as the PAI is always set to the same as the number we set as the CLI.

@Pepp77 yes that's exactly what I'm seeing now.

Gamma 'relaxed' the CLI settings for us today, so now when I make a call my mobile is showing the calling user's extension (easily fixed), but when I hang the call up and EE send me the missed call text it's coming from our circuit ID, not a problem I guess.
