With the help of an expert, I was able to get the Nortel IP phones to achieve 2 way conversation on the BCM50 RLS 5 and the BSR222 Router.
It required:
-signing up for a different VOIP service called voip.ms that allowed NAT traversal, Nexvortex didn't
-routing all VOIP calls on Lines 1-4 through the call recording feature, so that the calls would route through the BCM right to the IP phones
-turning off SIP ALG on the router
