Hi,
I have a script that will shut down all our computers in the college at a certain time. I run it from a server using task scheduler.it shuts down computers if their name is in a text file. The problem is that when I run the file it fails on a lot of computers (access denied). Through trial and error I have found out that if I remove the check box for simple file sharing in folder options the script shuts down the remote computer fine. Now, the problem is that when the computer reboots simple file sharing is back on and nobody can stop this from happening. Is it possible to allow my server to connect to these computers even if simple file sharing is on? some exception of some kind. The xp firewall is off.
Thanks in advance
