Often when I shut down my W2k Pro machine, it does everything normally but when the cpu "clicks" off, the monitor screen is still blue. Usually the "click" also makes the monitor go dark, then I shut off the surge protector to turn the power off to everything. Is something hung up or ??? PIII, 733, Asus MB, Matrox G400, Sound Blaster pci sound, Two printers, two scanners......I did the version 2 update also.

Some monitors have a blue sign on the screen specifying no signal input. If the screen is acting inconsistently with the CPU acting normally you may want to start putting away some funds for purchase of new monitor. Best of luck. -md
