I'm an administrator of a citrix farm. Recently I just added a new server (2003)to my existing farm and when I try to shadow a user, it asks the user for permission to shadow. There's also a box on the 2003 server that tells the user shadowing is in session. I wanna be able to automatically shadow the user without the user knowing or asking the permission of the user. Thank you in advance for any of your help!

It is a one off question when you install Citrix. It asks you do you wish to log shadowing and to alert the user. Better watch your privacy rules if you want to do what you want to do.

What does that mean? ICA Connection config? Do I have to go into the CMC to do that?

No the command is MFCFG.exe, and connection configuration.

oresama, just a quick thought here: be certain that what you are wanting to do fits with the corporate HR schema, or you could have a potential "invasion of privacy" lawsuit, depending upon who the user is that you are trying to secretly shadow.

Oh yes! thank you all for your help and concern. yes I am compliant with company standards. And usually I notify the user automatically through messaging. There are some users out there that do abuse company rules and that is the last step after investigating the user's profile. But thank you for concerns!
