Hello,

I was wondering if someone could tell me how to setup a incomming call to a fax. I read the manual, but there is only something like a VPN fax connection.

Is it possible to help me out or just point me the direction.

Thanks in advanced..

Either use vmpro which has fax detection or 4.0 embedded voicemail which now also has fax detection.

Otherwise as gknight said, simply assign a DDI ICR to go straight to the faxes extn or give it its own PSTN trunk.

You have to create a user with an extension number that matches the extension number on an available analog port.

Then create an incoming call route of the line going to that extension number.

If the incoming call is going to a traditional fax machine the fax machine requires an analog extension port, a system user set up, as well as ICR set up. The fax dialing out will require some short codes as well.

If to a Multitech fax finder server, that requires some additional work, and the manual is not going to get you through it as it has errors. Get back to us here if that is the case.

Sorry for my late respons. Unfortunately im not able to respons very fast.

Is about a traditional fax. So i try the answer from aarenot and telecomtekperson.

Thx and i let you guys know if it worked.
