Hi,

I am setting up my first SCN, between three branches.

Can any offer any instructions, or point to some guides outside of the knowledge base docs?

Cheers,

ST

Depends on how you are setting these up. are they going across a LAN or WAN type of connection?

Can you list what it is you are using? e.g IP500 / VPN / etc etc.

Make an ipline form the main site to the two other sites

Make one ipline from the branch site to the main site

Make an iproute to the gateway that makes the connection to the other sites

This is basicly what you need to do

ACA - Implement IP Office
ACS - Implement IP Office
ACA - Implement IP Telephony
ACA - Voice Services Management

Some details:
3 IP500's with VCMs
going through WAN
VPN tunneling between branches

What other details do you need?

ST

You will need "IP500 Voice Networking (Additional channels)"
licence on each site this goes per channel, if you want more functionality then you'll also need a "Advanced Small Community Networking" licence.

...So make two iproutes from the main site to the the branch sites?

Thanks

Yes, thats correct.

As in one to each of the sites a total of two from the main site with the gateway in the IP route being the router making the connections

Im trying to test this inhouse using a single linksys router with the IP500's connected to LAN ports, but its not working.

Is it possiblt to test this using a single linksys router? The gateway would all be the same for both the main and branch unit....

remembering back to my IP Office course in 2003 we had about 6 or so units on the LAN and all in an SCN calling back and forth without a lot of programming. The IP routes are not neccessary if you are all on the same LAN (correct me if I am wrong please) but the IP line with voice networking ticked on and of course the license as bas1234 mentioned.

If you can't be good, be good at it!

You can test it with just a switch, just make sure the IP addresses are in the same range for testing. As you may not have the router programmed correctly, but in the IP Office the gateway would be the IP address of the interface on the router that the site is connected to.

Yes and no
One route with
0.0.0.0
0.0.0.0
gateway ipadres will work too but using two routes looks better :)
