I'm setting up a calling queue in IP office 11.1.0.2.0 and was wondering if anyone has step by step instructions that I could use to set it up?

The system has 6 trunks and two 1416 phones,,

Thank you in advance..

John

Embedded VM or VM Pro?

By calling queue do you mean a Hunt Group with an apology greeting?

A bit more information here would be helpful.

Hi..

The system has embedded VM running the Essential License.. A hunt group would work and they have a prerecorded announcement that's plugged into the audio port and plays now as MOH.. They would like the first call to come in on line 1 and all additional calls to go into the queue while hearing the MOH announcement..

Thx..John

Then enable Announcements for the Group and make sure the Music On Hold source is set to External under System - Telephony - Tones & Music. Connect the announcement device to the Audio jack on the back of the IPO with a mono mini plug.

Thanks Nortel4Ever..

I thought it would be more involved setting the queue up..

Thanks again..

John

If you want to record a greeting that plays before your automated announcement, something like "please wait.." The it's *91group extension number. So if the group extension number is 200 then *91200. If you enable the second greeting it's *92200.

Turning on the queue is as simple as turning on the checkbox in manager for the group. Since all you want to do is play MOH to the user while queued what Nortel4Ever said is right and his added instructions for announcements (if you decide to do them) is also right.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

Thanks fellas...I'll check with my client to see if they want the additional announcement..
