ServeRaid 4-MX Hot-Spare on 2 channels 1

Hi all,

Is it possible to use only one Hot-spare drive for 2 differents channels with the ServRaid 4-MX controller.

On channel 1 there are 7 disks
On channel 2 there are 7 disks

I want to create 1 array of 7 disks on channel 1 and one array of 6 disks on channel 2, and One spare disk on channel 2. Does this spare disk will be useable on channel 1 if array one fails ?

Yes, hot spare drive is global within the raid controller.
