I have a 2k3 server which stopped working. On bootup, the message is: ServeRaid-6i slot 2, Status: no scsi controller found-3E21
There are 2 red lights to the far left side of the controller card. I bought a new card and it is doing the same thing.
Any ideas what might be causing the failure? Thanks.

there really is nothing to be confused about. Initially, as stated before, I was able to get into all the menues. What I meant by Ctl-I does not do anything for me is the Hard drives show as non-existent (no logical drives found) and copy configuration from drives does not do anything since it does not see the drives.
I did find the serveraid cd but the on-board video controller must have gone bad as I cannot get anything on the monitor, no signal.
Until I find a video card to place in slot 1, I am not able to continue. I will try to find one this weekend.

So, this is what I would do. Remove the 6i controller as rclarke250 said and SEE if the video returns to normal. If so, next step would be to update any firmware on the server and the BIOS for the server including anything for the built-in Adaptec controller. Tell us what model server you have please.

If not, fine - get another video card and try it without the controller being installed. If no video, stop, give up.

If video, insert controller and boot from the DOWNLOADED CD I gave you the link to. Don't even bother with the moldy old one. Why? Because the new one will have the latest firmware, which I would flash onto the 6i controller with NO drives attached.

Next, I would attach the hard drives and see what you can see. If you can see the drives, I would download the drive firmware updater CD and update to the latest firmware for your drives. Depending on your server model & drive model, this may be it: Link

It's very critical to follow our steps as it's based on years of troubleshooting stuff that just doesn't make sense at first blush. I'm not being a know-it-all but either something is broken and/or something is not up to date.

You do understand the difference between logical and physical right? Logical is the array? it wouldn't show up until the configuration from the drives, if there is one, because at this time I am not sure what drives are in the bays, and if they have an image on them or not, is imported to the controller memory. Now if at any time you did initialize configuration, you just erased the configuration and did a format, time to get out the install media, after creating the array and start over, unless you have a backup to restore from.

I have never seen you say you followed the instructions to go into advanced from the mini-config, and choose import configuration from drives option when you had a display and could get into the mini-config menu.

Right - give us a one to one ratio of suggestions given/actions taken. It's very hard to follow what you have done and what was attached, etc.
