Hi There,

So in my mind I see this working no problem. But it goes against what I learned about server edition so I just want to check with the pros here..

I have server edition with a primary and a secondary - R9
I have a 500v2 for PRI expansion

I want to add a combo card to the 500v2 and use the analog trunks for INBOUND calls only

Calls would not route out through the analog lines

Calls would go out over the PRI as they currently are (line group 3)

I have an ARS set up to send calls to the primary from the 500 (or secondary if primary is down)

I would expect that I can just route those analog calls over to the primary using the same short codes as the PRI uses.

Dist says I need to buy another 500v2 + combo card + SD card + SE License and just run it as an analog expansion. I can see that being true if I need to send OUTBOUND calls out over the Analog lines - but I dont.

Please share your thoughts and experience with this. Thanks.

You are right. Distri is wrong.

Also for outbound this would work. Just give it a different outbound group ID like you would with a stand alone 500 and route accordingly :)

See it as a scn. So yes you can do this.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Excellent guys! Made my day. I did not want to try to explain this to the client. Stars for all!
