i have one table that has a seq. field, which property is charachter.
Some of the records from 64000 to 64040 was cut & copied after 88 then after 64040 the seq was 89 & until the end.
DO u have any ideas how this could happen. ???
thanks

through another software called postalsoft, for mailing.

So you're asking how it could be achieved that records where inserted between 88 and 89. There is an INSERT command that could do that, VFP9 help does only refer to APPEND or INSERT-SQL, but in fact it's still available. It could also have been achieved otherwise.

Bye, Olaf.

I have used postal soft. I use BCC now. However, the sequence field can be populated from the utilities menu to solve your problem.
