Hi, new to the forum so be patient. Can you have sperate groups or groups of users setup on the 3300 where they can't see other extensions?

By "Seperate" do you mean Tenanting, i.e., to have seperate groups of different tenants in the same building all served by one common phone system?

If so, the answer is yes. The 3300 supports tenanting, including separate music-on-hold sources for each tenant.

Tenanting is definitly an option of choice. The Tenant feature from Mitel is a freebee but must be turned on in system options. You will need to submit a new MASS to Mitel to get the licence option.
This will require a reboot of the system. Some downtime.
Another way is to utilize your Interconnect Restriction programming to block sets from seeing each other by creating a seperate COS and changing the interconnect table and the intercept handling.
Either way may serve your purpose

We used tenanting with one client to isolate their conference rooms and Polycom conference phones from MOH. The tenant number assigned has full access to all system extensions and features except the MOH source for Tenant #2 is deliberately set to a dead port. That way no one accidentally embarrasses themself by playing MOH to an established conference.

This also serves to encourage Polycom use, which is arguably the best sounding handsfree/speakerphone in the office.
