I'm sure there must be a way to do this, but I just can't fathom it out! IPO 9.0.12. I'm trying to set up a user key to send digits when an active call is already in place. The user wants to be able to send a string of about 10 dtmf digits when they dial an external conference bridge so they can log in. I've set a key up as Dial but it selects the next free intercom key and puts the call on hold, I've tried Abbreviated Dial and that does the same. Any ideas anyone?
Thanks,,

Oh well , thanks anyway... Cue the 'It worked on our Mitel, it's all YOUR fault'...... [bigsmile]

There is a FAQ called How to make a DSS key send DTMF by seanoporno

says....

In the situation where you need a DS handset to have a single button to open a door etc.

Label your button e.g "Door"
Key type = Emulation > Abbreviated Dial
Action Data = <your number to open door / latch / lock>

See if this will work, I have not tested it

not getting what they're doing?

They want a prebuilt key to dial a conference bridge number and THEN key in a code?

So how about a speed dial key (Dial) with the action data = 1800xxxxxxx,,,,,xxxxxxxxxx, with line group set to the main outgoing line.

adjust number of commas (one second pause) until it works?

Create a shortcode like *99/number to send/dial/line ID 0
program a button type dial, action = *99
While on a call press the button
This use to work on R5 but never used is again in later versions
