IS there any known or possible issues that might arise if we create an SCN with 3 IPOs, one on R10.1, one on R8.1 and the third on on R9.0. We will have Voice Networking Licenses on all 3 systems.

I don't believe they have to be within 1-2 versions anymore (used to be that it wouldn't work if the software level differences were too big).

The network features will be based on the lowest level of software (i.e. for linking purposes they will work as R8.1 as that's the lowest)

I've not done much with R10 so I can't say if they've changed it for those..

It's always best to have them on the same, but we all know that's not always possible :)

From the KB on R 10.1.

Not that they mean a thing anymore , get a brain dump pass the test crash the system.

Multisite networking is supported between IP Office systems with differing software levels but network features will be based on the lowest level of software within the network. This option is intended to allow the phased upgrading of sites within a multisite network and it is still recommended that all systems within a network are upgraded to the same level where possible.

I have done it many times with 500v2s at different releases, but in all cases used H450 trunks with short codes rather than IPO SCN trunks and centralized voicemail. My main reason for H450 vs SCN was because the various sites had embedded voicemail.
