I am importing data from an old Mac/FoxPro system that contains various scientific characters, such as infinity, delta, sigma, omega, and the like. Since Windows uses ANSI values, the characters I need are not available in the standard character set.

Has anyone used a font/character set combination that permitted their display?

Does Symbol Font works for you? It this font all these chars are present.

Richmondeagle,

infinity, delta, sigma, omega, and the like.

The Symbol font has all of those (in both caps and l.c.), plus the rest of the Greek alphabet and various arithmetical operators.

The problem is that, in native Foxpro controls, you can't mix Symbol with other fonts. It has to be one or the other. You'd have to use something like the ActiveX rich text control if you want to display the symbol mixed in with normal text.

Also, you need to ensure that the mapping of the characters is the same as in your imported data.
