Just updated 75 IP phones all 9650's and 9620's. Had around 10 that would not allow audio through. No dial tone, no speech? They took the download fine but it just killed the phones....any thoughts or anyone have this issue too?
You don't waste any time do you? FW3.1.1 just came out yesterday and your already putting it into production. I would test in your lab for at least a month before having end users use it.
Phoneguy55 - we had to update these as this is a new install of 10 sites and the call log feature was not working on older firmware and not fully fixed until 3.1
98Converter - The trace shows all fine including media resources being accessed on the local gateway.
We did find that only 10 phones were bad and replaced them so be aware that 3.1 may cause weird issues.
I am still using the R3.101a, I would not advise deploying new firmware, without first testing it in a lab environment for at least a month. AVAYA has been know to release firmware, then recall it because of serious bugs.
Also, checking on what is new, the only difference seems to be support for the IP Office, which for most of us will not matter, and the VPN login/pw can now be 30 characters and the "@" sign is now allowed. Not very many changes from R3.101a to worth risking even testing this firmware, unless you are having an issue with VPN login/password length.
