S8300E Media Server issue

Hello everyone,

i'm installing an S8300E as LSP on G430 Media Gateway , i did insert the S8300E in the slot V1, i did lock the server with tightening the spring-loaded captive screws , then i did put the DVD/CD Drive (ASUS) on USB1 that contain a bootable dvd on vsp 6.2.1 , and i did put a cross-over cable on the service port with my laptop address was 192.11.13.5 / 255.255.255.252 , and when i try to ping 192.11.13.6 always shows host is unreachable and never got a response , any suggestion ?

make sure you've cleared your ARP cache. Have you verified you're not having a duplicate ip address detection issue?

I don't know if this is still an issue with S8300E but I would check that.

Pretty sure you're not going to get this to work. I believe you need SP 6.3.7 or higher for the S8300E.

and also i cant ping it , how is that related to the release ?!

jimbojimbo is correct. You need SP 6.3.7 or higher for S8300E. As for your ping issue that could be a totally separate issue with the combination of DVD drive and the S8300E. The services port is brought active by the System Platform installer so if the installer even booted up I would think the ping would work. But it doesn't really matter because you won't get very far with SP 6.2.1.

i did burn a dvd of R6.4.0 System Platform , then when im installing CM template CM_SurvRemoteEmbed , i got this error

Download error (checksum of downloaded file /vsp-template/CM_SurvRemoteEmbed/CM-06.2-02.0.823.0.img.qcow2(cc607ac808e839c0a5b8c494402bebefd3c047a6) does not match value in manifest (e9cc18c5b478548120921e1e41aa1206c37d4f02)) - will retry in a few seconds...

P.S: the main CM is 6.2.x

problem is solved , i did redownload CM templates iso

i have an alarm (filesync failure(server) : 192.168.x.x LSP on the main server ,

for the file synchronization address , i did put the active server ip address (main server)
