Make sure ypserv daemon is running on server & ypbind daemon is running on each
client.

Hello Mikeclark,

I checked both daemon at server and Client end,Both are running. But When I rebooted the NIS Server,At booting time it check file system and Start the all Service but not gives any messages of RPC Service started.

Hi Ajay,
To check that the rpc daemon is running ps -el | grep rpc will show you.
The message rpc not registered means something is not setup when you setup the nis server. I am trying to remember what it is. We struck this when I did the Solaris Admin course. I'll look through my notes for the answer, or maybe someone else can help.

Thanks for your Valuable Suggestion.
As I mentioned in my question after 10 or more days when I boot the System that time all rpc related service not run.
I tried ps -el | grep rpc but it show no daemon.

Thanks,
Ajay

Hello again,
Daemons should start in run-level 2 via S71rpc script. Have a look there.

If rpcbind is not running, RPC processes would not be
registered on the server.

To check whether rpcbind is running:
ps -ef | grep rpcbind

Use rpcinfo command to list rpc services available:

rpcinfo -s servername

Look in the man pages of rpcinfo for more information

Thanxs
