Hello

I would like to use an asterisk server on our LAN as an extra outbound line for the IP 403 to use. Ive read about the 323 addon for asterisk, will i need a voip license for the avaya 403? Has anyone done this here, how did you find it?

Regards

Gary

You don't need a licence, you do need a VCM card in the system unless you already have one (if you have IP sets) :)

customer of mine did it with 4.1 when he didn't want to wait until the IPO supports SIP endpoints and has his Asterisk box between the IPO and his SIP phones. So it works but don't ask me how he setup the whole thing on the Asterisk server the IPO was a regular h.323 trunk with shortcodes routing the extension numbers to it.
