put the fax number in one of the open fields, prefaced w/9, hit enter.
Remember the field number!
Go back to the cover path form and put r#. That's a lower case r, with the number of the field you populated with the number of the fax into one of the cover point fields. Hit Enter.
oh so the r+the corresponding number tells it to check that remote table.
thats a lot easier than i thought and something i could have used long ago. much appreciated.
also how can this be done if one line is outside fax and one is a dedicated fax of our own. do dedicated fax lines go through the switch? if so how do i list them.
If it goes through your switch, it'll have a unique extension number and it'll most likely be a "2500" type analog, or will be aliased as a fax.
Use the command "list station type 2500" to get a listing of all the analog stations.
check to see if you have alias in use with the command "display alias station". If you have faxes aliased, you can sort through them quicker with the command list station type FAX.
'#' indicates previously aliased set type is now native
looks like our fax numbers are dedicated lines not going through the switch since i didnt see it under the analog listing. I suppose theres no way to roll that particular line over.
