thanks J

i dont know if you can get around the password issue but you can just make a touch tone from the AA go to a get mail.

I would want a password to retrieve Voice Mail Via the Auto-Attendant.. if not, anybody who figured out the VM menu number could just press it and get VOicemail for anybody at the company with just the extension number...I think you could have a touch tone to have it go to the collect voice mail for a certain user by matching the caller id.. but not sure if that would get around the password..

I just checked for myself, and you can allow it to go to the messages with no password for users, just set them up under user start points for collect and have it point to get mail with the users mail box.. then make a goto to goto the start point for collect on that user.. no password needed.. there might also be an easier way to do same thing.. didn't poke into it much.-

If a user regularly logs in to their IP Office mode mailbox from the same external location, you can set that number up as a trusted location.

* This requires that the incoming call provides a matching CLI.

To give users access from an external trusted location:

1. In IP Office Manager select the user who needs voicemail access from an external trusted location.
2. Click the Source Numbers tab.
3. Click Add.
4. Enter the code V01923383838.

* Strings prefixed with a V indicate numbers from which access to the user's mailbox is allowed without requiring entry of the mailbox's voicemail access code.

* The number 01923 383838 is the external telephone number that the user wants to use to access their mailbox.

5. Click OK and save the configuration.

When the user dials into their mailbox from the external trusted location (01923 383838), they will not be prompted for their mailbox number or voicemail access code. Anyone calling from the external location will have trusted access.

I know you want to access VM from the AA but how about this:

What I have done is on the incoming call route pick a number then for the destination chose "voicemail" it is the last option in the drop down list.

When someone calls it asks for mailbox # then password. I would make sure everyone has a password setup.

Pretty simple fix without having to use any type of trusted location or other codes
