does anyone have any idea how to prevent trunk to trunk conferecing on m2250 console
this is on an option 11 rls 25.3

Is it realistic to restrict the console from placing external calls? If so, that would solve the trunk to trunk issue. Other than that, I think every other method (LD16 stuff) also restrict the rest of the phones in the system from trunk to trunk

If they have a side phone, they could place outgoing calls when required, and if it was really really important to transfer the president to his home number, the operator could transfer them to the side phone, then confer the home number.

The NCOS of the attendant console is defined in LD15 ATT data (I think I remember that correctly)

The reason I want to have this done is because we are having an issue whereby our call accounting is unable to identify calls made using the conferece feature on the attendant console as it only shows the trunk lines as the originating and terminating party and not the console

what rls? mine shows the atdn of the console, we have several, maybe that gives us the dn field. you can block outbound period or require an auth code with ncos just like any other station.. instead of blocking guest phones to internal, we set ncos to 0 and require a auth on everything except internal.. we also have ext that do not require a 9, and disconect after the 3 minutes tfd timer.. that was a little much to set up but one dept has patients that seems would walk in just to use the phone for a couple of hours local.. not that i care but real patients need to call patient transportion.. i looked at my att data, opt's in the cdn and the 2250's tn's but i didn't see a block for conf.. i don't see a key to nul or a cls ao6..

Your sugestion about the use of authcode is good but the problem I have it is the telephone operators are the one doing the abuse and they have to have unrestricted access
as it is a hospitality environment.

same here, they would have the access but the auth code could be used to find abuse. our operators are ncos 7, but we have a chief operator that keeps a close tab.. ms shirly is one of the best i've worked with..
