I've got a VDN (6764) that I need to block from another site, based on COR. I have 2 agent groups COR 66 & 76. I want to allow COR 66 at the remote site to call the VDN, but not allow 76 at the remote site to call it. I can do this within the same site, but I'm having problems restricting it from our remote site.

I can only block it entirely or allow it entirely. Is there a way...?

We have S8700, DCS over IP-Trunks...

Thanks,
Chris

Tricky I dont know much about COR info being carried through DCS, but you may be able to do this in two ways:

The easyest is:
Site A where the VDN 6764 is
Site B where the agents are

Add a new VDN into site A pointing to the same vector as VDN 6764, lets call the number VDN 1234

Add VDN 6764 into the Uniform Dial plan of site B with a cor that restricts the agents with Cor 76 from calling it, set the VDN 6764 as local in the UDP, point this VDN to the a new vector that calls the new VDN in site A VDN 1234.

Thsi should work.

Or another way is by using ANI but you would need to know the CLI of all the agents calling the VDN, gets a bit messy.

ANI works by incoming number ID or CLI, see the example below:

CALL VECTOR

Number: 31 Name: ani vec routing
Multimedia? n Attendant Vectoring? n Lock? n
Basic? y EAS? y G3V4 Enhanced? y ANI/II-Digits? y ASAI Routing? y
Prompting? y LAI? n G3V4 Adv Route? y CINFO? y BSR? y Holidays? n

01 wait-time 2 secs hearing ringback
02 goto step 6 if ani = xxxxx
03 goto step 7 if ani = xxxxx
04
05
06 route-to number xxxxx with cov n if unconditionally
07 route-to number xxxxx with cov n if unconditionally
08 stop

Hope this helps

At the remote site change COR 76 calling permission to not hit the COR of the VDN. Should work I thingk, but haven't tried it at one of my remote sites.
