Restricted Front Desk Phone

Customer has a front desk courtesy phone that they only available for use by ceratin people. Is there a way to lock the set with a security code so only people with that code can active this set? If not is there a suggestion to allwo restriction of this set?

Right. Restrict the set for any, except 911, and build a COS password to use an unrestricted filter. The authorized users will have to press f68, then the COS password before dialing out.

Does the set have to be manually locked and unlocked or will it time out and lock itself?

when the person that "unrestricted" the phone finishes the call, the restriction goes back on as soon as they hang up.
You would need to use the F68 function for every call made.
