Hello proffessionals!
We have a lobby phone only used to buzz people in; it is an actual extension with a DID attached to this NEC Sterm series E phone.
Is there a way I can restrict all calls to the outside world, and only allow calls to the Receptionist (0) and to other internal only extensions?

Thank you very much in advance,

It depends on the system it is connected to On the big systems you use Command ASCL but on the mid range systems it is command 1201!

Thank you for your reply OzzieGeorge.
We have a NEAX2000 IVS2 system and I tried the command 1201 in the MOC utility and for the extension in question I get '11' as the result: 1201>3218:11-
Am I supposed to change 11 to something else?

I actually used the 1201 command in MOC and found that 11 allows outside calling and '88 is the setting that restricts it.
BUt i also founf some phones set to '44'..
Would you know what that setting is for?

It is complicated to decypher as it can be different on each system. Simply set a phone to 44(Day/night) and see what you can dial!

Thank you very much for all of you posts!

In Moc you give 1201 command and do the following as you like
1201 de ext 11 for ISTD Calls
de ext 22 for STD Calls
de ext 33 for for mobile calls
de ext 44 for local calls
de ext 55 for intercom calls only

hope it may be useful for you

I have changed my extension from 11 to 33, and WAS able to dial a cell phone number.
I have also chnaged it to 44 and WAS able to dial a local phone.

Is that maybe because the code yo have might be for a differeny system? Or maybe I misunderstood something...?

I dont understand your doubt expressed.. could you pl give something clearly and the codes given earlier works out for IPS 2000.
