trying to recover on host oldtrade the backup of tradebl with
nwrecover -c tradebl
command
I go through selection, I see that the tape is mounted but inside the recovery window I get:

If I do it on the client itself it succeeds...
What could it be the problem?
Thanks in advance,
Gianluca

Same failure using directed recovery from the backup server:
[root@bcksrv root]# recover -s bcksrv -c tradebl -R oldtrade -iY /raid5
recover: Current working directory is /raid5/
recover> ls

recover> cd 09prova
recover> add transedi.sh

What if you try to recover the file to your backup server then? Same result or does it work? Anything in the logs that can give a clue?

If I recover directly on the client where the backup was taken using the recover command is ok. Not tried on bcksrv itself...
In the mean time I solved the problem mounting via nfs the oldtrade file system under /raid5_oldtrade on tradebl and using the recover command to "relocate" the files...
recover -s bcksrv -c tradebl -d /raid5_oldtrade -iN -a /raid5

and it completes without prroblems....
